Tet Experience
To celebrate Lunar New Year, I hosted a dinner infusing my creative plates and their visual "flavour". Each course was paired with its own graphic composition, drawing inspiration from the dish's preparation, symbolism, and flavour profile to transform the meal into a storytelling experience. From printed menus, table "runner" and stickers to the tablescape itself, every touchpoint was designed to weave Vietnamese cultural icons into a contemporary visual language. More than a dinner, the project became a way to reconnect with home while creating new traditions with the people who have become my family abroad.

The visual system explored three recurring themes in Tết traditions: earth, nature, and sky. Banh Chung grid is inspired by the signature cube look, layers and how the cake is tied. Banh Chung's square shape represents the earth, manifesting a grounded energy for the new year Canh & Pho Cuon is presented by flowers motif because they remind me of nature, of spring and at core: my love for the cherry blossom every Lunar NY. Nom has a spicy kick and deeply vibrant flavour. That and the way the vegetables are shredded makes me think of firework - something essential in modern day Tet celebration. You look upward to the sky and enjoy that "explosive" visual with the wish for a prosperous new year.
